Birkirkara to face Tarxien

by Ayrton Galea - 27th July 2011

This evening Birkirkara will be involved in the second match of the Gammari' Muscat Mosta Tournament when they will face the tournament's current leaders Tarxien Rainbows.

In the first match which was played last Monday, Birkirkara took an early lead in the second half and everyone thought that things are going to be easy going for 'The Stripes', but Mosta increased their play to come back from the disadvantage, and even manage to score the winning goal a few minutes from the end.

On the other hand, Tarxien Rainbows found no problem to register their first win of the tournament when they registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over Vittoriosa Stars thanks to goals by Ricardo Costa, Daniel Mariano Bueno and Justin Grioli.

For today's match Mr. Patrick Curmi will have some new foreign players on trial, who will join the other players who are on trial with the Club.

Once again, Shaun Bajada, Paul Fenech and Rowen Muscat are ruled out injured. Trevor Cilia will be back for today's game.

The match will be played at the Mosta Grounds and it will kick off at 18:45. In the second match for today Vittoriosa Stars will face Mosta.
