Five Birkirkara players in the National squad

by Ayrton Galea - 25th March 2013

Just two days after Malta suffered a 6-0 hammering against Bulgaria, Mr. Pietro Ghedin named his squad for the much awaited match against Italy which will be played this Tuesday.

All of the five Birkirkara players named in the eighteen-man squad for the match against Bulgaria will once again form part of the squad which will face Italty. These players are goalkeeper Justin Haber and the four midfielders Edward Herrera, Gareth Sciberras, Paul Fenech and Rowen Muscat.

Birkirkara's striker on loan to Hamrun Spartans Terence Vella, and also Jacob Borg of Balzan FC were called to the squad, but Valletta's striker Daniel Bogdanovic is unavailable due to suffering an injury while training.

The match will be played at the National Stadium and it is scheduled to kick off at 19:00.

We would like to wish all the best of luck to Malta and in a particular way to our players for an excellent performance and a positive result
