Ryan Camenzuli called-up with the National Team

by Ayrton Galea - 17th March 2015

Birkirkara FC Youth Academy product Ryan Camenzuli was among the five new players that Mr. Pietro Ghedin named in the provisional squad for the friendly match against Georgia, before the Maltese National Team take on Azerbaijan in Group H of the Euro Qualifier. Four other Birkirkara players named were Justin Haber, Zach Muscat, Rowen Muscat and Paul Fenech.

Camenzuli is twenty years old and he is enjoying another satisfactory season and he saw his efforts rewarded with this first call-up to the National Team. Throughout this season, he has played twenty-three matches in which he scored four goals and was voted once the BOV Player of the Match.

Ryan told us, “It means a lot to me to be named for the first time with the National Team because it is every player's dream to be with the National Team and it is a wonderful experience. From this experience, I believe that I can learn a lot especially from players who have more experience. It boosts me a lot to continue working hard and to continue improving my level.”

We would like to wish all the best of luck to the Maltese National Team.
