With a positive performance from whole Birkirkara FC clan, 'The Stripes' have managed to overcome Marasxlokk in the second of three Hibernians Carlsberg tournament fixtures.

Things started to look positive from the very beginning, as a long range effort by Paul Fenech, hit the post just after three minutes. Only five minutes passed before another ball struck the post, this time, it was an Alan Tabone freekick which went close to opening the score.

On the twenty-fifth minute, prolific striker Michael Galea, took charge of a loose ball, and hit a thunderous strike from outside the box, which beat the Marsaxlokk goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

The second half continued on the same rhythms of the first, as Birkirkara kept on looking for goals. The second Birkirkara goal arrived on fifty eight minutes, when after some fine work by the newly acquired Karl Pulo, Michael Galea slotted the ball calmly over the goalie.

The match was practically over, when on the eighty fifth minute, Paul Fenech ran with the ball before serving Trevor Cilia who made the final score 3-0.
