Birkirkara FC presents new signings

During last Friday's press conference, President Galea started by thanking his predecessors, especially Mr. Victor Zammit, for their sterling contribution towards the Club.

President Galea stated that "the committee is fully committed to preserving Birkirkara's status as one of the top team's in the Premiere League" As he outlined the club's plans to bolster the senior team, women's selection and nursery, Galea also stressed the importance of the Birkirkara Supporters Club"

Galea described the current Birkirkara team as having great potential and "we share the coach's vision for the team and we also support his plans"

Senior Coach, Mr Zammit stated that "Birkirkara is a Club with huge potential. One of my foremost priorities was to strengthen the structure and technical set up. It's all about laying solid foundations to achieve stability. Youth development is crucial for this club"

Mr.Zammit elaborated on the fact that our current squad is composed of nine players all under 23 years of age whilst Michael Galea and George Mallia are very important for us because they bring experience.

The new signings were Branko Nisevic (assistant coach & defender), Sylvano Convalius (striker) , Nikola Vukanac (defender), Jorge Mora (goalkeeper) and Karl Pulo (midfielder).

On behalf of McDonald's, Ms Joanna Smith Ellis explained the commitment such an international food chain has towards sport in Malta and with particular reference towards Birkirkara FC. Being the thirteenth year whereby McDonald's are the main sponsor of this Club shows how important such a partnership is for both parties.

President Galea, together with vice - Presidents Joe Gauci, Emmanuel Bezzina and John Borg presented a momento to Teamsport owner Jonathan Darmanin as a sign of appreciation towards his continuous support towards Birkirkara FC throughout these last years.
