Birkirkara face Marsaxlokk in Premier League

by Ayrton Galea - 23rd October 2010

Tomorrow evening, Birkirkara will be involved in their 5th Premier League match. This time 'The Stripes' will face the 1st Division Champions, Marsaxlokk, in what might prove to be a tricky encounter.

In their last outing, both teams managed to grab a point. Birkirkara's late equaliser thanks to a wonderful goal by Trevor Cilia against Valletta meant they registered their first draw of the season. On the other hand, Marsaxlokk registered their 3rd draw of the season as in their last match, they ended the match against Hibernians with a 2-2 result.

So far, Birkirkara are second with seven points as they registered two wins against Sliema Wanderers and Hibernians, one draw which was registered last Friday against Valletta as mentioned before, and the only loss was against Floriana. Marsaxlokk registered three draws against Tarxien Rainbows, Sliema Wanderers and Hibernians and their solitary win was against Floriana.

Mr. Paul Zammit can not use his full strength as three midfielders are missing as Shaun Bajada, Rowen Muscat and Alan Tabone are all ruled due to injury.

The match will be played at the National Stadium and it will kick off at 15:00. Transport is once again available from Valley Road and it will leave at 14:00.

Come on the Stripes!
