7 Birkirkara players with National Teams

The Maltese National Team will take on Israel in the last match of the EURO 2012 Qualifiers this evening, as Malta will host Israel at the National Stadium with the match scheduled to start at 19:00.

After obtaining a positive 2-2 result, with the two Birkirkara players namely Terence Vella and Rowen Muscat scoring the important goals for Malta, the Under 21 National squad will be aiming for another positive results when they will face Lithuania. Once again the match will be played at the Gozo Stadium and kicks off at 15:00.

Malta A provisional squad

Four Birkirkara players were called by Mr. Buttigieg in the provisional twenty-man squad. These are the defender Joseph Zerafa and the three midfielders Paul Fenech, Gareth Sciberras and Trevor Cilia.

Malta Under 21 Provisional squad

In the Malta Under 21 Provisional squad, three Birkirkara players were called up. These are Birkirkara's vice captain, Rowen Muscat and strikers Leighton Grech and Terence Vella.

Coach Ray Farrugia made only two changes from the 18 players called up. Yessous Camilleri and Miguel Ciantar are suspended. However, Matthew Gauci will return from suspension and Sheldon Gauci was drafted into the squad.
