MFA Awards 2013 finalists

The Malta Football Association announced the finalists for the MFA Awards 2013. Seven Birkirkara players, six from the seniors' team and one from the Women's Team are among the finalists for three different awards.

The MFA Footballer of the Year is being contested by four Birkirkara players out of the five finalists. These are Justin Haber, Edward Herrera, Gareth Sciberras and Paul Fenech for Birkirkara, and Clayton Failla for Hibernians.

Mr. Paul Zammit is also a finalist in the best coach of the year category.

In the best young player of the year category, Zach Muscat is among the finalist with Hibernians' duo Jean Paul Farrugia and Bjorn Kristensen.

Alejandro Mendoza is one of the finalists for the best foreign player of the year with Tarxien Rainbows' forward Daniel Mariano Bueno and Floriana's Igor Coronado.

On the other hand, in the only award for the Women's League, Rachel Cuschieri is the Birkirkara player shirt listed as a finalist with Hibernians' Ylenia Carabott and Mosta's Dorianne Theuma.
