Matheus Bissi joins Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 22nd August 2013

Maltese Champions Birkirkara FC have continued their Summer Transfer campaign as just a few moments ago, Brazilian player Matheus Bissi signed a one year contract with our Club.

Matheus, aged 22, is a strong Brazilian central defender who enjoyed very positive spells in Brazil in his teenage years. Last year he played outside his native country, and he joined the Lithunian side Banga Gargzdai.

Matheus is the fifth foreigner to sign for the Stripes in this Summer Transfer Market following signing Senegalese forward Demba Toure, Nigerian Frank Temile, Spaniard Ricardo Jimenez and Brazilian Jonathan Maciel. However, the foreign defenders Jimenez and Maciel were not retained and were released a few days ago.

We would like to welcome Matheus while wishing him all the best of luck in his adventure with our Club.
