Ronaille joins Birkirkara, Demba moves to Tarxien

by Ivan Mizzi - 29th January 2014

Birkirkara FC and Tarxien Rainbows FC have reached an agreement over swapping players Ronaille Calheira Seara and Demba Toure, on a loan basis till the end of the season. The paperwork was finalised moments ago, and it will be registered with the MFA tomorrow.

With the Maltese Champions enjoying a six point lead, the Club still opted to reinforce its attacking department, by securing the services of the twenty-ninth year old striker, who established himself as one of the deadliest strikers in the BOV Premier League.

Ronaille, who is Tarxien's best scorer, managed to net ten goals which make him the fifth best scorer overall, three less than the Club's present top scorer, Jhonnattann Benites. Before joining Tarxien Rainbows, the prolific striker played for Brazilian side Salgueiro, and Leon de Huanuco of Peru, in the last two seasons.

The signing of Ronaille will certainly boost the attacking department, as he will join the other foreign forwards Shola Shodiya and Jhonnattann Benites, and the Maltese promising strikers Terence Vella and Kurt Zammit.

Demba who will now be wearing the Rainbows' shirt joined our Club in the beginning of July. He made a total of eighteen appearances and managed to net three goals, one in the Euro Cup Friendly Tournament, one in the BOV Super Cup and one in the BOV Premier League.

We would like to welcome Ronaille with our Club and wish him the best of luck. The Club would also like to thank Demba for his services towards our Club and wish him the best of luck in his new experience.
