Adrian Sanchez joins Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 21st June 2014

Birkirkara FC has started their Summer Transfer Market by signing the twenty-six year old goalkeeper from Spain, Adrian Murcia Sanchez.

Sanchez is considered as a strong goalkeeper as his height distinguishes him as a true leader between the posts. Last year, he was on the books of UD Salamanca, a Spanish team in the Segunda B, the third division of Spanish football.

Adrian will be joining the other goalkeepers in the squad Justin Haber, Reuben Gauci and Ini Akpan. Also, he will be the fourth foreigner for the Stripes along with Alejandro Mendoza, Matheus Bissi and Nikola Vukanac.

The Spaniard was one of the foreigners on trial that joined the squad during the nine-day training camp in France. He made his debut in the 1-1 draw against Valletta, where although he was not tested much, he left a good impression thanks to his agility and goalkeeping skills.

We would like to wish Adrian the best of luck in this new adventure and welcome him with our Club!
