Match Preview: Birkirkara FC vs. Valletta FC

Birkirkara FC will be chasing the first victory in the BOV Premier League when they take on arch-rivals Valletta FC this afternoon in a match that will be played at the National Stadium (Kick-Off - 15:00).

Following back-to-back defeats in their opening two matches, the Stripes took two points from the last two matches as they were held in a 3-3 and a 1-1 draw against Balzan FC and Mosta FC respectively.

On the other hand, Valletta recovered from their 1-1 draw against Floriana with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Balzan. The defending-champions won seven points from the first four matches.

Coach Andre Paus welcomes back Terence Agius who recovers in time for this match, but Johann Bezzina, Matthew Guillaumier, and Yannick Yankam remain all injured.
