Birkirkara take part in friendly tournament tonight

Tonight, reigning champions Birkirkara FC will be involved in a friendly tournament, before the highly expected BoV Premier League match against the current leaders, Valletta FC.

In the first week of the two weeks break from the BoV Premier League, Birkirkara beat Pieta Hotspurs in a friendly match with a 1-0 result, thanks to a late goal by the Argentine Emiliano Lattes.

Today will be the second test for the Scottish trialist goalkeeper, Michael Fraser, following his first appearance against Pieta Hotspurs.

In today's tournament Birkirkara will be facing Hamrun Spartans and Tarxien Rainbows. In the first match, which is scheduled to kick-off at 19:30, 'The Stripes' will face Tarxien Rainbows.

The loser of this match will face Hamrun Spartans. The third and final match will see Birkirkara play against Hamrun Spartans.

The tournament will be held at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun and the ticket price is €5
