Michael Camilleri loaned to Birzebugga F.C.

by Ivan Mizzi - 28th August 2012

Birkirkara FC and Birzebugga FC today reached an agreement for the loan of striker Michael Camilleri on one year.

Michael's chance of playing was very low with the arrivals of Joselito Dos Reis and Jhonnattann Benites who joined Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza and Shola Shodiya in the forward line, so in the best interest of the both parties, it was decided that the promising youngster will be loaned to the 1st Division side.

Michael who is nineteen years old is Birkirkara Youth Nursery Product and he made his debut with the First Team in the 2011-2012 season.

In the Premier League, he made eight appearances as a substitute. His first goal with the First Team arrived on the 5 February in the 4-0 win over Balzan, when after just a few minutes on the pitch, he managed to beat the goalkeeper with a fine header to score the fourth and last goal.

We would like to wish the best of luck to Michael in his new adventure, and hope he gains more experience with Birzebugga FC.
