First Round review

by Ayrton Galea - 22nd November 2013

At the end of the first round, Birkirkara are in second place, just three points behind the leaders Hibernians. Over all, the first round was a satisfying one for the Stripes, as the competition is still in its initial phase, and the squad's best is yet to come out.

The first round provided mixed feelings for the Stripes' supporters. Some excellent performances on one hand where tarnished with unexpected loss of points on the other.

The biggest wins in this round were with a score of 3-1 score which happened twice. First in the victory over Mosta on the 15 September and then in the victory over Floriana played on the 3 November.

An interesting fact is that in these eleven matches played, no penalties were ordered in favour or against our side.
