Ryan Darmanin joins Birkirkara FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 26th January 2016

Birkirkara FC completed their seventh signing in this January Transfer Window, when just a few moments ago, Maltese forward Ryan Darmanin signed a one and a half year contract> He joined our Club on a free-transfer.

Ryan certainly needs no introduction in Maltese football. The thirty-year old striker is well known as a prolific striker who has the knack of being at the right place, and at the right time, inside the box. He was last playing for Balzan FC and during this season he made twelve appearances and scored one goal.

With the departure of a number of Maltese players namely Zach Muscat, Paul Fenech and Rowen Muscat, the Club sought to sign Darmanin to strengthen its Maltese line-up. Darmanin's inclusion should strengthen the attacking department, after the Club released Fabrizio Miccoli, Juan Quero, Ellinton Morais and Shola Shodiya who all play in an offensive position.

Darmanin is the Club's seventh signing during this January Transfer Window and he is the second Maltese player to join our Club after Matthew Guillaumier, one of Malta's best young talents, signed a five-year contract with our Club.

We would like to welcome Ryan while wishing him all the best of luck in his adventure with our Club.
