Under 17's lose to St. Patrick's

On Sunday Birkirkara Under 17's were beaten by St Patrick;s through the odd goal in five at the Zabbar Ground. The final result might look a bit tough on our boys since they had some good spells during the game, but they paid a high price for not taking most of the scoring opportunities they created and also for losing concentration, thus allowing the opponents to do the damage.

Under 15's bounce back

Birkirkara Under 15's made immediate amends as a week from the defeat against St Patrick's they managed to beat Tarxien Rainbows 6-0 at the Siggiewi Grounds last Sunday. This was an important win since the Rainbows were just a point above the Stripes in the standings before this match, thus overtaking them and ending the first round of matched in second place, 9 points behind leaders San Gwann, who however still have a game in hand.

Contrasting results for Nursery Teams

Birkirkara Under-17s had a bright start to the new year as they beat San Gwann 4-2 in a match which coach Marko Glumac had to do some changes due to a number of regular player missing. Those who deputised instead of the regular players really gave a good account of themselves as they were all focused and helped the team achieve this victory with a very well disciplined peformance.

Nursery's Training Camp

The first week of the New Year will see the Infetti Grounds as busy as ever. For constant investment in the development of young football players, Birkirkara Football School is proposing a 4-day Football Training Camp for both boys and girls aged between 6 and 11 years. This event will kick off on Wednesday 2nd January and will come to a close on Saturday 5th.

Late equaliser denies Birkirkara U16 girls

A late equaliser by an unfortunate own goal denied the Birkirkara under 16 Girls team to reduce the gap with Pembroke when in an entertaining match they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Under-15's End Their 2012 Commitments With A Win

Birkirkara Under-15s last Saturday brought their 2012 league commitments to a winning end by beating their Zebbug counterparts 4-1 at the Sirens Ground. It was a very good all-round performance by the team who bounced back from the defeat against Qormi and stayed in the hunt for a promotion slot.

Birkirkara Under 16 Girls extended their positive run this morning when in a match characterised by strong winds, 'The Stripes' beat Hamrun Spartans with a 2-0 score.

Last Gasp Goal Saves Birkirkara Under 17's

Birkirkara Under 17's had to wait until the second half injury time in order to breach a resolute Sliema Wanderers defence and salvage a point on Sunday at the Luxol Stadium. Ironically, this was the same result as the one obtained against Hamrun Spartans in the previous match one week before.

Birkirkara Under 16 Girls trounce Vittoriosa

Birkirkara Under 16 Girls bounced back from two consecutive defeats and returned to winning ways when in a way traffic match, they defeated Vittoriosa with a very comfortable 9-0 score.

First draw for Under 17's

On Saturday our Under 17s squad featured in its first drawn game of this season when their match ended in a 1-1 draw with Hamrun Spartans. The match itself was a really hard-fought one with the end result reflecting both teams' efforts as neither of the two deserved to leave the Rabat Ajax Ground empty handed.

Under 15's beaten by Qormi

In a direct clash between two teams sharing second spot in the Under 15s Section B table, Qormi managed to beat our boys 2-0 at the Melita Grounds. This was the second defeat of the campaign, with an identical score as the one with San Gwann.

Under 17's beaten by Pieta Hotspurs

Birkirkara Under 17s suffered their third defeat of the campaign when they were beaten by Pieta' Hotspurs 5-0 at the Rabat Ajax Ground, which is identical to the one against Paola Hibs. The Stripes were coming from a good win against Mosta, and the clan was optimistic on getting a similar result today against a though opponent.
