Birkirkara face Floriana in the Premier League

by Ayrton Galea - 17th September 2010

On Saturday afternoon, Birkirkara FC will be playing their second match of the 2010-2011 Premier League, when in the second match of the day, they will face Floriana FC.

Birkirkara's morale is sky high as although they had no less than eight players missing, they managed to trounce Sliema Wanderers with an impressive 4-1 win and the "yellow-reds" are eager to maintain this form.

On the other hand, 'The Greens' are coming from a disappointing performance where they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Hibernians, especially when considering that they had manage to sign several established players in the pre-season to strengthen their squad.

Karl Pulo will be back for Birkirkara but that still leaves four other players suspended: Shaun Bajada, Paul Fenech, Nikola Vukanac and Patrick Borg. Esequiel Lovizon, Keith Fenech and Alan Tabone are ruled out due to injuries.

As we always maintain, your support does make a huge difference to our players. As they often say themselves, for them, you are the 12th player!

The match will be played in the National Stadium, Ta' Qali and it will kick off at 19:00. Transport from Valley Road is available and will leave at 18:00.

Come on the Stripes!
