31/12/1969 -

Birkirkara FC registered their second win when yesterday evening they beat Mosta FC with a 3-1 score despite playing more than 30 minutes with a player less.

If last week Birkirkara failed to take control of the game and dominate it, yesterday it was a different story. From the first till the last whistle Birkirkara dominated Mosta and it was a very well deserved win.

There were several positive aspects in this game in every department. In the rear guard Rodrigo made a big improvement from last match against Qormi. Joseph Zerafa was once again concentrated and determined in everything he did which denied the Mosta strikers to penetrate our defence. In the midfield Gareth had another positive performance while two of the best, if not the best players on the pitch were Moises Avila Perez who scored a brace and Trevor Cilia who made 2 assists and scored the third goal besides being voted as the Man of the Match for the 2nd time.

The only two negative points that happened during this game was the own goal by Angus Buhagiar and the dismissal of Andrew Decesare which left Birkirkara with ten players after he was giving marching orders by the referee after receiving the second yellow card.
