Birkirkara FC contigent in Skopje, Macedonia

This evening, the Birkirkara FC contingent, composed of 20 players, technical staff and Club officials will leave Malta to travel to Macedonia.

Last Thursday Birkirkara's never give up attitude earned them a 2-2 draw result at home after they were twice behind, despite giving a very strong performance. However, this result leaves ‘The Stripes' with little options to qualify either beat Metalurg Skopje or earn a three all draw or higher. Without any doubt, Mr. Zammit and the squad will work hard to avoid soft goals like the ones conceded on Thursday.

This evening at 16:00 the contingent will meet at the Malta International Airport to catch a flight at 17:25 to Sofia in Bulgaria. Arrival in Sofia is scheduled for 21:55. At 22:30, the contingent will depart for Skopje by coach. They are expected to arrive at the Hotel Bellevue on Tuesday at around 02:30 in the morning.

On Tuesday, the squad will be having their first training session at 17:00, and will then have another one on Wednesday on 17:00.

Thursday is match day. Following a pre-match talk in the morning, on 14:45 they will have an approximately 45 minutes trip to the venue of the game, Milano Area Stadium. The match will kick off at 17:00 CET.

On Friday morning, the squad will return to Malta. At 04:30 they will meet at Sofia's Airport to catch a flight to Malta at around 06:00. The contingent will arrive at the Malta's International Airport at 08:35.

The contingent that is travelling to Macedonia is the following:

Goalkeepers: Reuben Gauci, Karl Magri.

Defenders: Rodrigo Pereira, Nikola Vukanac, Joseph Zerafa, Ryan Camenzuli, Ian Schembri, Andre Cassar, Patrick Borg.

Midfielders: Fabian Zammit, Ryan Scicluna, Rowen Muscat, Paul Fenech, Gareth Sciberras, David Spiteri.

Forwards: Joselito Dos Reis Santos, Shola Shodiya, Jorge Santos Silva, Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza, Michael Camilleri.

Technical Staff: Mr. Paul Zammit, Mr. Mario Gatt, Mr. John Galea, Mr. Aaron Saliba, Mr. Darren Farrugia, Mr. Mark Cipriott, Dr. Zammit Montebello.

Club Officials: Mr. Charles Micallef, Mr. Ivan Muscat, Mr. Ivan Mizzi. Preisdent Mr. Joe Zammit and Vice-President Dr. Adrian Delia will join the contingent on Wednesday.
