Today shortly after noon the draws were held for the Champions League for the first qualifying round. As a result of this draw, Birkirkara FC will be facing Santa Coloma, the current champions of Andorra.
President and Vice President to attend Champions League draw
Club President Mr. Karm Galea and Vice President John Borg will be leaving our island to go Nyon in Switzerland to attend the draws of the first qualification round of the UEFA Champions League. The draws will take place at noon on Monday 21 June.
Two Birkirkara FC players, Trevor Cilia and Shaun Bajada were nominated for the MFA Player of the Year award. Trevor and Shaun were two out of the five players that have advanced to the final stage.
Birkirkara FC's requested a change in fixture for the Euro Challenge Cup match against Valletta, to be played on Wednesday. Seeing there were no objections from either Valletta FC or Sliema Wanderers, this request was approved.

Birkirkara FC yesterday held its Annual General Meeting for the year 2009-2010. This was attended by a good number of the Club's members. The Club's Secretary, Mr Gilbert Agius presented last year's AGM minutes, and then he presented the Administrative Report, both of which were approved. This was then followed by a presentation of the Financial Report, presented by Assistant Treasurer Josie Licari. This report showed a surplus of income for the season that has just ended. This was received by an applause by all those present. The various section of the Club then presented their reports, all of which were approved.

Thanks to Bank of Valletta's 24x7 service, you can now pay the annual donation fee of €30 via internet banking. Alternatively you can call Bank of Valletta's customer service centre on 2131 2020 and settle your payment by speaking to one of their representatives.
As the first week of training sessions for the new season is over, Head coach Paul Zammit had made his training sessions plan for next week.
Birkirkara FC strongly condem the cowardly act of violence shown towards Trevor Cilia, who had his car vandalised last night. Witnesses heard the person screaming obscenities towards the player and his club, while trashing the car.
