Thanks to a display of determination and great will to succeed, the Birkirkara FC boys managed to come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against champions Hibernians. All this with just ten men on the pitch! Striker Sylvano Comvalius had a glorious chance to put the 'Stripes' ahead after just thirteen minutes, when George Mallia was sent to the ground by Kevin Cassar, with the referee having no option but to award our side a penalty, from which the Dutch player failed to capitalize.

On Sunday at 17.00, Birkirkara will be involved in a tricky encounter against current champions Hibernians.

Comfortable victory over the 'Spartans'

On Saturday, Birkirkara have managed to put five goals past a weak Hamrun Spartans defence in a friendly match organized due to the temporary halt of the BOV Premier League due to the National Squad's commitments in Portugal.

Friendly vs. Hamrun Spartans

With the National Squad playing Angola on Saturday and Portugal on Wednesday, the BOV Premier League will be temporarily stopped and therefore the Birkirkara FC management has moved to organise another friendly match against newly-promoted Hamrun Spartans.

The Stripes Supporters Club will be organising a 'Fenkata' at the club's premises this Friday the 9th of October.

Birkirkara too good for Dingli

Birkirkara managed to secure the third victory from four matches, when on Friday, Mr.Zammit's men managed to beat Dingli S. 3-1

Stripes vs. Swallows

Today, at the Ta' Qali National Stadium, Birkirkara will be involved in another BOV Premier League 2009-2010 fixture against newly-promoted Dingli Swallows.

Squad duties for this week

The Birkirkara FC squad will go through the following programme for the week starting on the 28th of September and ending on the 4th of October.
