Last Saturday, Birkirkara suffered another disappointing 1-0 defeat against Floriana. This loss sank Birkirkara in a deeper crisis. The Club's main objective is now to make it to the Championship Pool. This would save the Club's record of being the only club to never having played in the relegation pool since it was introduced.

Birkirkara's disappointing streak continued yesterday afternoon when they suffered another crucial defeat against Floriana with a 1-0 score.

The Birkirkara FC Women Team extended their unbeaten streak to twelve matches, so this week we decided to interview probably one of the youngest players that had ever played in the Women First Division's League, Alishia Sultana.

Kids Carnival Party

Birkirkara FC through the Supporters Sub-committee will be organising a Kids Carnival Party on Monday 20 February. The party will kick-off at 18:00, and will be held at the Club's hall on top of the McDonald's restaurant.

Paul Fenech called back with National Team

Paul Fenech has once again been called up with National Team, after not forming part of the last selection of the provisional squad.

Women's Team Carnival Football Party

The Birkirkara FC Women Team will be organising a 'Carnival Football Party' at the Cortile Farmhouse in Triq Hal-Gharghur, Birkirkara, in the area known as Tal-Balal. The event will be held on at the 9th February, the eve on a public holiday, from 20:30 onwards.

Joseph Zerafa suspended

The MFA Disciplinary Commissioner announced the decision that Joseph Zerafa will be suspended next Saturday in the match against Floriana. Joseph was sent off for a double booking last Sunday in the FA Trophy against Hamrun Spartans, where 'The Stripes' were eliminated with a 3-2 score.

Women's Team extend unbeaten run

Yesterday evening, in a top of the table clash, the Women's Team of Birkirkara FC extended its unbeaten run thanks to a 1-1 draw against Hibernians. Kim Parnis scored the only goal for Birkirkara and, her fifth personal goal in the league.

Meeting for the Club's members

The committee of Birkirkara FC would like to invite all the Club's members to a meeting on Sunday, 5 February 2012, at 10:00. The meeting will be held at the Club's 'Infetti' Training Grounds.

In what could be described as a shocking and disappointing defeat, Birkirkara were eliminated from the U*BET FA Trophy yesterday, when they were beat by Hamrun Spartans with a 3-2 score.
